Characters created in Stunning New Development (SND) will use the Unisystem, as found in CJ Carella's WitchCraft RPG (published by Eden Studios).

A free PDF of CJ Carella's WitchCraft can be downloaded from this web page:

CJ Carella's WitchCraft - Eden Studios | DriveThruRPG.com

Having read that, players might want to try UniForge, an electronic character builder.

http://www.devermore.net/UniForge/

It provides the quickest and easiest way to build (and update) a Unisystem character. See below for further details.

Although Mundane characters (no supernatural skills whatsoever) are detailed in WitchCraft, they are described as "extraordinary individuals". This is to balance them with other character types.

For SND, player characters can be considered to be Mundane Mundanes.

Mundane Mundane characters get 14 points to distribute among Attributes, 5 points for Qualities (and up to 10 points in Drawbacks), 30 points for Skills. They get no points to buy Metaphysics (and cannot buy any with extra points gained from Drawbacks), nor can they purchase many of the Supernatural Qualities.

Before you can use UniForge to create a character for SND, you need to download the Leaner Edition files in the following archive.

unileaner.zip
  1. "unihtml.xsl" should be extracted and pasted to your UniForge folder (overwriting the older version). This will allow you to export your character to a printer-friendly HTML character sheet, using "Export > Convert To: HTML" in UniForge.
  2. "leanerdata.xml" should be extracted and pasted to your UniForge\systemdata folder, it can then be loaded into UniForge using "Load Data File".

A sample character for SND, built in UniForge, can be found here:

snd_charsample.zip

The files should be extracted and pasted into your character's folder, or wherever UniForge is located.

You can use this character to experiment with UniForge. UniForge is not without bugs and doesn't rigidly enforce some rules, so you will still need a copy of CJ Carella's WitchCraft to create your character.
